Through the combined experience of The WCM/HBTSA/NPA Conference Training Sessions, speeches by, and meetings with, local, national, and international, government officials, lectures by and discussions with University professors and officials, tours of Tuskegee National Historic Sites, a theatrical presentation by Tuskegee Repertory Theatre, and the George Washington Carver Festival (open to the public on Saturday May 1 st .) This conference will provide the opportunity for you to walk upon the hallow grounds of the historic City of Tuskegee, which includes famed HBCU, Tuskegee University, (TU). In so doing you will be able to study, learn, and be inspired by, the lessons past and present, taught through the lives and work of great Tuskegee/African American heroes and sheroes: Tuskegee University Founder, Lewis Adams; TU Founding President, Dr. Booker T. Washington; TU agricultural scientist and researcher Dr. George Washington Carver; Tuskegee native, Civil Rights leader, Mrs. Rosa Parks, and the “Flying/Fighting” heroes of World War II, the Tuskegee Airman, Civil Rights Attorney Fred Gray, and others.
