Greetings: Please see attached an official invitation for you to attend (via zoom or in-person) a press conference April 19 at the Tuskegee Municipal Complex, announcing the official celebration of the 40th anniversary of the founding of The World Conference of Mayors, on April 20, 1984. The official celebration will be held during the National Business League/National Black Chamber of Commerce/The World Conference of Mayors joint Conference in Atlanta, August 21-24, 2024, when we will also celebrate the 10th anniversary of the founding of the Historic Black Towns And Settlements Alliance, Inc. Please find, in the letter, more details and why we need a statement from you, and/or, on behalf of the organizations you represent. Attached also is a brief history of the WCM and a history of the Historic Black Towns And Settlements Alliance, Inc. The zoom link will be sent closer to the date, but we hope those of you who can, will plan to attend the press conference in person.
